FellowTraders 2007 MA System eSignal Plug-in

Simplicity of Use

The design criteria for the FellowTraders 2007 MA system was to offer the true power of a complete automated Trading system, yet keep the installation and use easy to encourage disciplined Trading.

To use the 2007 MA system, you simply need to :-

• Have eSignal's advanced charting installed in default location.
• Run the 2007 MA System installer.
• Pick the 2007 MA system page from within esignal's advanced charting.
• Load the symbol(s) you wish to Trade.
• Set the decimal places the symbol Trades.
• Click the optimize button. The optimization process takes no more than a few minutes.
• Trade what you see.

The system does everything else. It will tell you when a Trade entry is close, and where to place your entry, and protective stop. If the trade entry price is hit, the system will graphically show you that it is in a trade, and will tell you how and when to Trail your stop. Trade exit will occur naturally based on this stop.

Powerful Algorithms

Not that simplicity of use means poor performance. The system uses two moving averages to gauge entry, and then Trails a point based stop to exit. All variables are optimized to match the symbol and time-frame being Traded.

The 2007 MA system uses some of the most advanced techniques to improve Trading performance. here are some of the advanced features the system has :-

• Can be used on End-of-Day, or Intra day time-frames.
• Graphical on screen display of all Trade entry, stop position and exits.
• Use of two Moving averages to calculate trend direction and entry.
• Calculation of initial protective stop, and Trailing stop once Trade entered.
• Real-time historic Trading summary displayed in Formula output window.
• Single click optimization of symbol to give best match Moving averages and stop sizes.

• Can be Optimized and Traded on any symbol (that you have subscribed to within eSignal), and any timeframe.

Here are optimized historic Trading results for several stocks and indices, as well as a leading FOREX currency Pair. Note that the system can be used to Trade End of Day bars (swing trading) or can be used to Trade Intra day bars down to 3 minutes (To Day Trade)

The 2007 MA System will work on any symbol you have access to via your eSignal account. It has been tested with :-

• FOREX Currency pairs
• Futures (although the recommendation here is to use 'rolling' futures symbols such as the 'YM #F' to give enough sensible data to optimize)
• US Stocks
• UK Stocks
• In fact any stocks where you have access to a sensible amount of data to optimize (say 350 Days or more for End-of-Day Trading, or 350 Bars or more for Intraday Trading)

It has been tested with ALL time Frames from Daily bars down to Tick, although tick data is not recommended, simply because it can take a long time to optimize a worthy amount of data (3-5000 ticks)

Graphical and easy to interpret

If like me, you are not text driven, but graphical, then this system will suit you perfectly.

Not only are all the historic trades the system has taken displayed graphically as an overlay on the symbol chart itself, But all new Trades raise a graphical alert to say that a trade is due. Prospective Trades are displayed both on screen and in a separate alert window, along with audible alerts if you are not watching the screen at the time. At the same time as the on screen alert, there is an addition made to the alert list window, and an audible warning sounds.

 

It doesn't end there either.

Once a Trade has been entered by the system, it will be displayed, along with the entry price, and the protective stop, both graphically on screen, and in the separate alert window. Any protective stop changes are also graphically displayed, and notified with audible alerts too.

2. Download and run the installer (this will install a reconfigured page into eSignal's charting application)
3. Run eSignal and choose the 2007 MA system page from the drop down page menu.
4. Load your preffered symbol and time-frame on the chart and press optimize
5. Follow the alerts and trade the system!

This means that for ANY of the Fellow Traders plug-ins to work, you MUST have the ability to run an eSignal advanced chart. This ability comes with an end of day and premiere subscription. The FellowTraders MA Plugin Summary --An advanced Moving average Trading system that is easy to use--

	Possibly the easiest system to Trade ever - Install, load the symbol you want to Trade, set the symbol parameter (there is only one) and click optimize. Once the optimization has finished, Trade what you see. It could not be easier.
	Graphical Trade entry, stop and exit Triggers - The system marks the entry into a trade with a right facing chevron that is at the entry price up against the right hand side of the entry bar. These chevrons are green for a 'Buy' (Long)Trade and red for a 'Sell' (Short)trade. The initial protective stop is also graphically shown, as well as added to the separate alert window. Any change in Traling stop value triggers a fresh alert, both graphically and audibly.
	Real Time Statistics - Both Historic Trading, and forward Trading are captured by the system, and the results totaled and statistical information displayed in the Formula Output window. This is useful for both giving confidence when looking to enter a Trade, and also to prove, or disprove the system when forward Trading after optimization.
	Simple Parameters Menu - The parameters menu only contains 4 things you need to confidure before Trading any symbol. These are The currency you are Trading, the decimal places the symbol Trades too (Forex trades to 4 decimal places, US stocks 2 decimal places, UK stocks 0 decimal places) The amount you want to trade each point (so that the statistical summary matches your Trading risk) and finally the times you want to limit Trading between (other wise leave it switched off). Thats it ....
	One Click Optimization - The system has the unique ability to optimize all system parameters for any loaded symbol. You simply load the symbol you want to Trade, set the decimal places the symbol Trades too, and Click Optimise and save. Once the optimization process has completed, the saved settings will be read and used for the individual symbol (and time-frame optimized) from then on. You just need to gauge when to re-optimize, nothing more.
	Real-Time forward Trading - Once a symbol has been optimized, the system will forward Trade using these settings and ALL Trades will remain on screen as they become Historic. The Real-Time statistical analysis will include these Trades as time moves forward. Fellow Traders believe that this approach is unique.
